The following is subject to open competitive bidding. Date: June 8, 2026. Procuring entity: Vice President Hitoshi Izu, Tohoku University. Procurement agency number: 415. Location number: 04. No. 14.
1 Procurement details:
(1) Item classification number 24
(2) Procurement subject and quantity: Complete focused ion beam processing and observation system
(3) Characteristics of the procurement subject: As per the bidding instructions.
(4) Delivery deadline: October 15, 2026
(5) Delivery location: Institute for Multidisciplinary Research on Materials, Tohoku University
(6) Bidding method: The winning bid price will be the amount entered into the electronic bidding system plus 10% of that amount (fractions less than 1 yen will be truncated). Bidders must enter 100/110 of the estimated contract amount regardless of tax status.
2 Eligibility for participation:
(1) Must not fall under Article 6 of the contract handling regulations of Tohoku University. Minors or persons under guardianship with necessary consent may be exceptions.
(2) Must be rated A, B, C, or D for 'sale of goods' in the Tohoku region for FY2026 under national or Tohoku University competitive qualifications.
(3) Must prove a system for rapid after-sales service and maintenance for the purchased goods.
(4) Must not be under transaction suspension by the Vice President.

(3) Requirements for bidders: Applicants must submit documents proving capability to deliver the goods by the application deadline. Bidders must respond to explanations requested by the Vice President before the bid opening date.
(4) Invalid bids: Applications from ineligible participants or those failing obligations will be invalid.

(6) Award method: The Vice President will award to the lowest valid bidder within the estimated price limit who can deliver the goods.
