The following general competitive tender is announced. Date: July 24, 2026. Contract officer: National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, Procurement Division Director Takuya HASHIMOTO. Procurement agency number: 808. Location number: 08. Procurement details:
(1) Item classification numbers 71, 27.
(2) Subject and quantity: Addition of functions to AI testbed system, one set.
(3) Characteristics of the procurement subject: According to the tender documents and specifications.
(4) Delivery deadline: March 26, 2027.

(6) Tender method: Competitive tender for the subject in (2). The successful bid price will be the bid amount plus 10% of that amount (fractions less than 1 yen will be truncated). Bidders must state in the bid form an amount equivalent to 100/110 of the estimated contract amount regardless of tax status. Eligibility: Bidders must not fall under Articles 7 and 8 of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology's contract handling rules. Bidders must be rated A, B, or C in the qualification for participation in tenders for sales of goods by the institute. Those with equivalent qualifications under the unified government qualification are also eligible. Bidders must not be under suspension based on the institute's nomination suspension rules during the tender period. Technologically capable SMEs meeting certain criteria may participate regardless of rating. Application for participation qualifications is accepted as per the public notice dated January 6, 2025. No bid or contract guarantee required. Bidders must submit sealed bids by the deadline and respond to inquiries from the contract officer if requested before bid opening. Bids from ineligible bidders or those failing obligations will be invalid. Contract document required. Award method: Lowest valid bid within the price limit as per the institute's contract rules. If the lowest bidder is deemed unable to perform or would disrupt fair trade, the next lowest bidder may be awarded. Other matters follow the institute's tender guidelines.
